We also stopped at the Oregon Caves National Monument & toured it. It was a little different from the Rushmore Caves we toured in South Dakota. I think this one was a little more intense & had steeper climbs than Rushmore. Also I had to do a lot more bending while walking & there were more slippery spots...
We saw some beautiful marble passages & chambers. It was really neat for the kids to learn about the diverse geological area we were in.
We were very lucky to be able to take time to do this!
This is our hike back down to the beginning... we had some beautiful views of the Rogue-Siskiyou National Forest.
